Webinar for graduating students now available

A recording of the webinar presentation, From pharmacy student to intern pharmacist, is now available to watch.

On Wednesday 6 September 2017, the Pharmacy Board of Australia (the Board) held a webinar for final year students on how to apply for provisional registration and about the pharmacy internship.

The webinar was hosted by Brett Simmonds, the Board’s Deputy Chair and a practitioner member from Queensland. It included information on:

• the role of the Board and AHPRA
• applying for provisional registration and for supervised practice arrangements to be approved by the Board
• the internship requirements that lead to general registration
• the registration examinations, and
• obligations of a registered pharmacist.

Watch a recording of the webinar on the Internships page, where you will also find the Board’s FAQ for pharmacy interns and preceptors. These FAQ have been updated to include new questions from the webinar.

Final-year students are encouraged to watch the webinar recording to prepare for the pharmacy internship and their journey towards general registration.
