Pilot survey of pharmacy interns and preceptors underway

29 Mar 2017

A pilot survey of a select group of recent pharmacy interns and preceptors is now open.

In its December 2016 newsletter the Pharmacy Board of Australia (the Board) advised pharmacists, including intern pharmacists, that it would conduct a pilot survey of a small group of interns and preceptors in 2017 to investigate issues relevant to the quality of the intern training experience. The aim of the pilot survey is to inform the development of a larger-scale study which the Board may carry out at a later date.

Gaining insights into the intern pharmacist training experience is expected to inform the Board’s future supervised practice policy review and the development of additional information for interns and preceptors.

Selected participants will receive an invitation by email. The Board encourages the interns and preceptors invited to complete the survey to participate in this opportunity to provide important feedback. The survey will take 15 minutes to complete.
